PSYCHOSOCIAL COMPLIANCE

“Complying with the law is the minimum. Building psychologically and socially safe environments is the goal.”

Psychosocial Compliance isn't just about "being a nice company." It's about ensuring the work environment complies with mental health and safety standards, treating invisible risks (stress, burnout, harassment) with the same rigor as physical safety or data protection.

It's the management system that identifies and mitigates Psychosocial Risks — factors related to work organization and management that can cause psychological harm. In practical terms, it's moving from a reactive approach ("we have exhausted people") to a strategic one ("we have a system that prevents exhaustion").

FAQS

Is it mandatory for my company?

Yes. In Portugal, the law (Law No. 102/2009 and the Labor Code) requires all companies to assess and prevent psychosocial risks with the same rigor as physical risks. The goal is to ensure that the work environment does not harm employees' mental health. If you have employees, this assessment is a legal obligation.
